Community Outreach to Diversity Organizations

These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Diversity Organizations receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience.

North Dallas Shared Ministries

North Dallas Shared MinistriesNorth Dallas Shared Ministries is a cooperative effort of 46 congregations that combines resources to provide effective, appropriate, and efficient assistance to a large segment of Dallas’ poorest population. Initially, emergency aid included food, payment of rent and utility bills, gas vouchers, bus tokens, prescription vouchers, and financial help to obtain ID’s. Within a few short years, an employment assistance program, English-as-a-second language classes, and an extensive eye exam/eyeglass program were added to provide tools to help clients help themselves.

The mission of the organization is served through youth residential and non-residential care, comprehensive prevention/intervention and treatment services, as well as advocacy in the community.

Teens at Work

Teens at WorkTeens at Work is a nonprofit organization that fosters teens ethical, social and professional development, designed to increase personal responsibility and character development that is essential to being prepared for the work place. Teens at Work promotes education and continued learning throughout life. We motivate teens to reach their greatest level of potential, by creating long-term commitments and relationships with the teen to see them succeed.

The Resource Center of Dallas

The Resource Center of DallasThe Resource Center of Dallas, through its GLBT Community Services, provides vital services and programs that embrace and cultivate the particular needs of our community. The John Thomas Gay & Lesbian Community Center is a two building facility that serves as a "home" for over 40 local organizations and groups. Many organizations also utilize the Center for their voice and physical mail. The Community Center is a source of information, referrals, and comfort for many gays and lesbians.

The Senior Source - Senior Employment Program

The Senior Source - Senior Employment ProgramThe Senior Employment Program assists older adults seeking employment by providing support for job seekers 50+, job leads, instruction in job search techniques and resume preparation, and by assessing skills and abilities. An important facet of this program is providing employers with information about the benefits of hiring older workers.

The Wilkinson Center

The Wilkinson CenterThe Wilkinson Center cooperates with people in need who desire to create a better life, so they may reach their God-given potential and sustain themselves with dignity. The Wilkinson Center’s programs are two-tiered. We first address the immediate family needs through our emergency services such a Food Pantry. Second tier programs begin to move families out of poverty with Adult Education Services and After-School Programming. The Wilkinson Center serves between 15,000 and 20,000 each year. Half those served are children.

TRAC - Transition Resource Action Center

TRAC - Transition Resource Action CenterThe Transition Resource Action Center (TRAC) is a one-stop center that offers access to affordable housing, livable-wage jobs and a safety net for young adults transitioning out of substitute care. TRAC was planned with the input of young people and with their needs in mind. TRAC offers a safety net. It is a place where young adults can find help to get a job, enroll in college, establish a home, access health care, manage a budget, connect to a caring community of adults and peers, and plan for their future.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas

United Way of Metropolitan DallasCurrently, United Way works with our partners to deliver nearly 400 programs and hundreds of services that target community needs centered around the building blocks for a good life: a quality education that leads to stable employment, sufficient income to support a family through retirement, and sound mental and physical health.

Wesley Rankin Community Center

We offer a wide variety of programs to support children, youth, adults, and families.

White Rock Center of Hope

White Rock Center of HopeThe White Rock Center of Hope is a community coalition of individuals, civic and social organizations, and over 50 Member Churches and Organizations united to provide emergency aid and steps toward self-sufficiency to their neighbors. Since our opening on November 2, 1988, over 190,000 people in almost 60,000 families have received help and hope through White Rock Center of Hope.
