    A Vision for Success.

    Jones & Carter, Inc. began in 1976 when founding partners J.R. 'Bob' Jones, P.E., and Larry Carter, P.E. envisioned a company whose mission would be to serve Texas communities with quality, honesty and integrity. Hard work and a determination to get the job done right resulted in a steady expansion of business.

    As demand for Jones & Carter, Inc. services increased, the two partners made sure that the people they hired were not only the best and the brightest in their fields, but were also willing to "go the extra mile" to ensure the success of each project. This hiring philosophy is still an integral part of the Jones & Carter, Inc. employment process today.

    In 1996, the company expanded its services to include Dallas and the surrounding communities. Four years later, in 2000, the Austin office was opened to serve the central Texas region. In response to the growing need for a presence in the communities north of Houston, the Woodlands office opened its doors in 2003. In May 2007, Jones & Carter, Inc. further expanded its reach by acquiring the engineering and surveying firm of Pledger Kalkomey, Inc. with offices located in Brenham, Bryan/College Station and Rosenberg. In October 2007, Jones & Carter merged with Brown Engineering Company in San Antonio to better serve the southwest region.
