Community Outreach to Women

These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Women receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience.

Alley's HouseAlley's House was formed in February 1997, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation on the heels of the Welfare Reform Act of 1996. There was a need within the community to provide services to teen mothers. Our mission: empowering teen mothers and their children to achieve independence through support services, education and mentoring. We accomplish this by providing comprehensive case management services, tutoring and life skill workshops.

Entrepreneurial Mothers Association

Entrepreneurial Mothers AssociationEMA is a non profit organization that was started in 1986 by Kathy Stephens, owner of Over the Top Lifestyles and author of 52 Fascinating Females. Her goal was to bring self-employed mothers together to encourage and guide each other. There are currently four chapters in the State of Arizona, one chapter in Dallas, TX and other chapters starting nationwide. Our members represent all the stages of a woman's life-married, single, divorced, and widowed. They have come into motherhood through birth, adoption, and step parenting and own a variety of businesses.

New Beginning Center

New Beginning CenterThe mission of New Beginning Center is to foster an environment of safety, support and respect for families affected by domestic violence. We do so through crisis intervention, counseling, shelter, education, advocacy, and diverse community partnerships. Clients can participate in group and individual counseling and receive case management services, including emergency rental assistance, food pantry, and connection to educational/vocational resources and legal services.

Nexus Recovery Center

Nexus Recovery CenterNexus Recovery Center, Inc. provides recovery and sustained independence from alcohol and drug abuse for disadvantaged women, including women with children and adolescent girls. Nexus removes the common barriers women often face when seeking treatment, including childcare issues for single mothers and ability to pay. Parenting classes, family education and counseling, life skills training, and on-site childcare, combined with Nexus' award-winning treatment programs provide the tools to restore the family and create a brighter future for everyone.

Our Friends' Place

Our Friends' PlaceOur Friends' Place provides an important and unique service in Dallas County for one of the most needy and troubled client populations -- girls and young women. Through therapeutic residential care and teaching independent living skills, girls with histories of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and behavioral problems are able to experience a safe and stable homelike environment. Our Friends' Place is dedicated to providing a foundation for girls and young women to build from adversity by learning a self-reliant approach to their own development.

Panhandle Crisis CenterThe Panhandle Crisis Center is a community-based organization for victims of family violence and sexual assault. Our primary purpose is to help, shelter, and support victims of family violence and sexual assault and to eliminate violence within the family.
