We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to supervisor our 3rd shift as we expand our Garland operation. This is a career-launching role for a person with process engineering and manufacturing supervisory experience who is ready help growing operation increase our productivity. We are seeking a self-directed achiever and confident leader for a 3rd shift role. You will lead an energetic union manufacturing team to produce chemical cleaning solutions in our friendly Garland plant. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your management potential; acting as off-shift supervisor you will make the necessary decisions to ensure production targets are met and you will lead change-over between shifts to effectively keep operations on track. Gain recognition for improvements by leading the shift to enhance our safety focus and 5S to reach exceptional standards.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Selects, trains, develops, retains, recognizes, & manages Mixers & Material Handlers; prepares qualified candidates for personal succession. Maintains a safe work environment & implements Safety Management System. Manages daily manufacturing operations of lines or shifts to ensure the manufacturing plan is executed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality & cost objectives.
  • Ensures the plant is in compliance with all internal & external standards & legislation. Achieves annual TQM plans for shift/department. Communicates & reinforces plant plans in area of responsibility. Provides formal & informal reporting on plant performance & issues.
  • Ensures that Quality system is followed. Ensures products produced meet specifications. Resolves quality, service & cost issues. Generates & implements ideas that improve quality indicators to support cost, investment & service goals. Implements Lean concepts & practices.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chem E, Mech E, Elec E, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • 2-3 years manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • 3-4 years process manufacturing experience.
  • No immigration sponsorship offered.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-4 years manufacturing experience in a Process Engineering role.
  • 3-4 years manufacturing experience in a consumer product manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma project team experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • 2 7 years project management experience.
