Business Contribution: We are currently adding to our Finance team, and searching for an Accountant. This position provides key financial and business support for the Hydratight Gulf of Mexico Region. It helps identify problem areas throughout the region, drives business improvement measures, provides financial analysis support to the Sales, Service Operations, and Manufacturing Operations groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare basic financial documents.
• Support monthly close process by preparing selected JEs and account analysis. Ensure timely month end close.
• Assist in the month-end balance sheet account reconciliation process.
• Monitor and evaluate cost drivers and collaborate with the operations team to improve effectiveness.
• Assist in basic internal controls monitoring and reporting.
• Assist in the development & documentation of procedures and best practices in accounting and related areas.
• Participate in LEAD events to facilitate process improvements and to achieve cost reduction opportunities.
• Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to support continued growth of the business.
• Learn and apply lean manufacturing methodologies to support continuous improvement.

Required Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with specialization in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of manufacturing/service business analysis and/or finance is required.
• Strong skills in account analysis, problem solving, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of finance and business measurements: expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investment, etc.
• Strong project management skills to champion projects.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to rapidly and accurately analyze a situation to arrive at an effective decision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency using electronic spreadsheet, database, word processing and graphical presentation software, preferably Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Hyperion knowledge is preferred.
