Delivers and implements training for employees, clinical staff, and all levels of leaders in accordance with adult learning principles and appropriate standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines (where applicable). Collaborates both face-to-face and virtually with other members of the Learning & Performance Center and business partners to ensure business objectives are met through effective learning solutions. Ensures the integrity, consistency, and quality of the work or trainees.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts training using developed materials, demonstrating proficiency in multiple specialties
  • Partners with Design team to develop materials
  • Mentors new trainers
  • Trains supervisory/leadership/clinical duties, some of which may require advanced certification
  • Train staff to complete medical histories and intakes
  • Be an advocate for processes and decisions
  • Work with management to give feedback on employees and help to develop learning plan
  • Work with management to drive new procedures and ideas
  • Partner with management and other LPC areas to support functional and organizational initiatives
  • Applies expertise in clinical theory and practice as well as adult educational theories and techniques
  • Uses strong knowledge of multiple subjects/techniques to increase the effectiveness of learning solutions
  • Leads medium to large size projects
  • Understands the internal customer’s strategy and how the Learning & Performance Center can support it
  • RN required, BSN preferred.
    Advanced training certification/degree preferred.
    Required:
    4-6 years experience as a licensed RN or advanced medical designation (BSN, MSN, MD, etc.)
    2+ years experience in learning and development.
    Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines.

    Preferred skills:
    Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy and physiology, and other procedures that are best performed by medically licensed personnel.
    Some of these procedures include:

    ACLS/CPR certification
    Telemetry
    Sub Q dosing
    IV Dosing
    Angiocath Insertion and flushing
    Sterile field preparation for biopsies, etc.
    Use of code equipment defib and AED
    Dosing medication administration
    AE or SAE documentation
    Proper placement of ECG's and Holters
    Documentation of Con Meds and progress of the subject
    Phlebotomy
