Due to continuing growth we are seeking Design Coordinator/Project Manager for our Houston, TX office with experience associated Oil and Gas Structural Design Coordination. Responsibilities Design Coordination *Coordinate schedules and facilitate design coordination and model reviews *Determine the status percent complete for project deliverables *Allocate appropriate resources and staff to areas of project work *Responsible for preparation of client progress reports on a monthly basis Lead for Structural Group *Overarching responsibility for all structural and civil deliverables produced by Houston office *Coordination of responsibilities for civil structural staff *Responsible for mentoring junior and intermediate staff including participation in annual performance evaluations *Participating in regular progress meetings with multiple clients on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule *Responsible for preparation of scope of work on multiple projects, to gage deliverables *Responsible for completion and submission of finished reports and proposals *Responsible for review of engineering calculations and design drawings in civil structural group of Houston office Qualifications *Attention to detail *Team Player *Supervisor Skills *Presentation Skills *Project Management skills *Minimum 10-20 previous years of experience required *Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry is a requirement *Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff including management of career development *Able to act as a Lead engineer for large scale structural projects *Previous experience managing budgets and deadlines for multiple projects *Experience operating in a plant or refinery environment *Safety and Health training related to Oil and Gas industry would be beneficial *Demonstrated experience operating structural engineering and other software including: RISA, STAD Pro, PCA Mats, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office *Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, civil or structural *Professional Engineer license in state of Texas or eligibility is a mandatory requirement of this role *PMP designation is considered an asset *Masters level education in engineering is considered a valuable asset *25% time spent in internal staff meetings providing discipline coordination *25% time spent interfacing with clients *50% time spent working on proposals and deliverables *Limited overnight travel subject to projects at approximately 10% or less *10-20% time spent on site visits *Verbal communication is vital to this role in order to effectively coordinate project expectations with engineers in various disciplines.
