Position Description
REGIONAL MANAGER
The United States Bowling Congress is recognized by the Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body and membership organization for the sport of bowling. As bowling increases in popularity, we seek enthusiastic candidates to join our team at the national headquarters for the organized sport of bowling, located in Arlington, Texas. We are currently looking for qualified Regional Managers to work with our Associations Development Team!
Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist association (states primarily) to utilize excess reserves in the development and execution of programs that grow membership.
•Educate and support State Associations on growing and creating successful Championship Tournaments.
•Promote the growth of High School, In-School and After School bowling programs. This includes creating workshops to promote the development of club programs and taking club programs to Varsity level where appropriate. Update, modify and utilize a Youth Program Director Training Program.
•Work with State Associations to act as a mentors and educators to their Local Associations.
•Develop and implement programs that assist local associations grow membership.
•Build positive relationship with Associations, Proprietors and other Bowling integers.
•Determine and report to HQ specific needs in the field.
•Support and back-up the Call Center when in the office.
•Coordinate with BPAA where appropriate and work closely with Proprietor Relations team.
•Represent USBC at Jamborees, Workshops, Town Hall Meetings, and Convention and as assigned.
•Deliver and develop presentations.
Qualifications
•Must have ability to develop training programs to include creation of class materials, workbooks, support materials as well as Power Point presentations.
•Must have ability to conduct training sessions.
•Must have knowledge of youth program operations for creation of workshops.
•Must be able to work with diverse group of association personnel to motivate and change their operations.
•Must have a strong working knowledge of USBC programs, services and operations.
•Relationships with proprietors would be a plus, Must be able to build those relationships.
•Must have ability to deal with confrontation and be able to bring consensus to a large group.
•Must be self motivated.
•Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
•Must be a skilled public speaker, experience speaking about the sport of bowling a plus.
•Business degree and 2 years experience or 6 years industry experience required.
•Must be able to spend in excess of 100 days on the road making presentations and working with Associations, Proprietors and Communities.
•Position is located in Arlington, TX, with an assigned territory.
•Must pass USBC Registered Volunteer Program background screen as a condition of employment to ensure appropriate protection is given to youth involved in our programs required.
•Ability to adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program as a condition of employment and continued employment.
