We are currently seeking a talented
Sr. Software/Systems Captiva Engineer for our
San Antonio, TX facility.
As a
Sr. Software/Systems Captiva Engineer for USAA, you will guide and facilitate teams in the delivery of technical solutions. You will independently perform complex work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes, and channels. You will participate in the evaluation, development and implementation of internal or external business solutions that meet customer needs.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manages multiple development initiatives of significant scope and complexity. Coordinates with cross-functional team members to translate business requirements into specifications. Creates test plans.
- Identifies opportunities and potential technical solutions. Synthesizes analyses, identifies root causes, and develops and recommends technical solutions.
- Supports and proactively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within area of expertise, for assigned company/staff agency, and/or across enterprise.
- Within the systems or software development lifecycle, analyzes, designs, develops, tests, creates prototypes, debugs and implements new information technology systems or modifications to existing information technology systems.
- Acquires and applies advanced knowledge of the business, its applications and processes. Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of an unusual nature.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors' degree in IT related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 6 years of relevant work experience in systems or development life cycle.
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant technical programming languages and/or technical systems.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of J2EE, and SOA.
- 4+ years of experience with implementing Captiva applications at multiple companies.
- In depth technical knowledge within the Captiva application suite.
- Experience with Windows 2003 server, SQL server, Websphere, Oracle, Linux, JBoss, EMC storage systems, Documentum, Perl, Control-M
- Experience in several industries including Financial Services.
