Position Description

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER RADIOLOGY

The Radiology Clinical Manager is responsible for patient care delivery for the Radiology Department. The Radiology Department includes Inpatient Services, as well as Emergency Department Imaging Services and Outpatient Imaging Centers. This position manages and coordinates activities of nursing and support staff throughout the Radiology Department to ensure patient care is provided in accordance with established client standards. Verifies patient needs are met and evaluates care provided. Ensures continuity of care is maintained between the nursing units and the Radiology Department, as well as the time the patient is receiving services within the Radiology Department. Under the direction of the Radiology Department Director, the Radiology Clinical Manager is directly responsible for managing the operations of VIR and Biopsy Services. This position is responsible for nursing practice throughout the Radiology Department and all registered nurses working in Radiology report to this position. The Radiology Clinical Manager will ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting the Radiology Department Director in the planning, designing and improving processes in Radiology services.

REQUIREMENTS
- Current Texas RN License required;
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable management role and with progressive responsibility is required.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of interventional radiology.
- Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team
