Position Description

The United States Bowling Congress is recognized by the Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body and membership organization for the sport of bowling. As bowling increases in popularity, we seek enthusiastic candidates to join our team at the national headquarters for the organized sport of bowling, located in Arlington, Texas. We are currently looking for a qualified Director of Interactive Content grow and enhance bowl.com.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the editor-in-chief and producer of all forward-facing content for www.bowl.com

  • Serve as a point person on all interactive / digital initiatives as they are displayed from the front, collaborating with the back-end developers in the IT group, seeing the projects through from conception to post-mortem.

  • Stay in close contact with the team leaders / stakeholders of the segments from within the organization, so as to implement their online goals as they relate to increasing membership.

  • Assist Marking Director with online ad sales methodologies as well as with social networking sites that are designed to drive users back to web site, stay abreast of new technologies, etc.


  • Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, Digital Arts or a related field.

  • 6-8 years experience in managing content of a sports focused web site.

  • 3-5 years experience in leading interactive personnel in a team environment.

  • Certification in After Effects and other video/digital related programs such as Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.

  • Strong familiarity with Web application development

  • Architectural (front end) expertise in the digital realm
