Our National Security Global Business is currently seeking an MTT Counter IED Instructor. This position is located in El Paso, Texas.
Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform the review of instructional material and quality instruction to students.
2. Provide and supervise a multitude of training venues including coaching and mentoring, facilitation of group discussions, platform instruction and seminars.
3. Be able to provide training in a variety of environments (indoor and outdoor) in various climatic conditions.
4. Be able to use various classroom media and automation equipment and effectively use and develop training aids to support training.
5. Must be able to follow and manage the execution of a training schedule or calendar.
6. Be able to work with government civilians, military and other contract personnel in a cohesive manner.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
1. Must possess a minimum of 6 years relevant military experience in C-IED operations to include but not limited to experience in Route Clearance Operations, Convoy Protection, Fixed Site Security and Check Point Operations.
2. Must possess skills to perform on a 3-4 member team responsible for training, mentoring and coaching company and platoon level leaders on execution of Counter IED tasks and conduct the preparation, execution and after action review of practical exercises, situational training exercise (STX) lanes and other Counter IED field and garrison training exercises.
3. Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and be able to perform research and preparation of materials related to ongoing and emerging IED trends within current operational theaters.
4. Must have military instructor experience and possess a DOD or equivalent instructor training certificate.
5. Must be able to travel (up to 2 weeks per month) to various CONUS locations as part of a C-IED MTT.
6. Must have basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft office programs; be able to compile training briefs and/or presentations.
7. Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.
8. Perform additional duties as required.
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
1. Have recent operational experience in Iraq or Afghanistan.
2. Be familiar with Battle Staff, Explosive Hazards and Counter IED doctrine.
3. Formal or specialized education resulting in a degree or certificate.
4. Military experience as a Senior Non Commissioned Officer or Company /Field grade officer.
