HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a Health Promotion Coordinator at our client site in Dallas, TX. Consisting of 3 full-service facilities and over 10,000 members in the greater Dallas area, this corporate program truly incorporates all aspects of fitness, wellness and recreation programming including health, fitness, aquatics, aerobics, nutrition, ergonomics, massage, sport leagues, pro shop, recreation clubs, training & development, youth and retiree programs, personal training, child care and more. With 900+ check-ins per day, this is a popular and dynamic program with a significant amount of opportunity.


SUMMARY


The Health Promotion Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the health improvement of the client population by coordinating the planning and delivery of wellness programs that integrate with the client's goals and support the client' s overall health promotion strategies and focus.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities:




  • Contributes to the planning, marketing, promotion and delivery of wellness programs.
  • Facilitates group behavior change programs.
  • Delivers health improvement programs.
  • Promotes and markets the wellness program effectively to target populations, increasing participation in programming.
  • Collects and evaluates program data and generates outcome focused management reports.
  • Evaluates and enhances the program delivery channel, engaging key stakeholders and champions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or related field.
  • Two or more years experience in delivery and coordination of corporate-based health promotion programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current CPR certification required; CHES certification strongly preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:




  • Demonstrated skill in program development, implementation, marketing and promotion.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, leadership and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Experience in the areas of data collection, data analysis, and outcomes reporting in regards to health risk and status.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook; PowerPoint and Access strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
