Instructional Designer (TRICARE) - Richardson, TX
Position Description:
Positions in this function are responsible for conducting training needs analysis for the business and developing all training materials, communications and activities to meet the organization's job/role requirements. Involves conducting ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommending/ implementing modifications as necessary. May work with SMEs to obtain training content. May include design and development of online and web-based training materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Interviews and consults with key business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Creates project plan and ensures overall project is delivered on schedule and within scope
  • Communicates effectively to provide project status updates to supervisor, requester and other business leaders
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to create and communicate overall training/communication approaches
  • Designs, develops and maintains materials such as manuals, participant guides, training updates, quick reference guides and communication independently
  • Incorporates the use of varied delivery alternatives, including self-study, instructor-led, computer-based, web-enabled and other options
  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of training and communications
  • Identifies ongoing and re-training needs and recommends solutions
  • Participates in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and creative solutions to improve policies, processes and tools

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years excellent writing skills is required
  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, training, and adult learning theory and application; demonstrated ability to recommend and create a variety of training solutions based on needs
  • 3- 5 Demonstrated experience developing and deploying Customer Service specific training curriculums: Call Centers, Enrollment/Eligibility/Billing Administration
  • Demonstrated experience with Tricare Program requirements a plus
  • Application of effective verbal, nonverbal, and written communication methods to achieve desired results
  • Organization skills and experience leading and managing small to medium sized instructional design projects
  • Intermediate to advanced skill of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Effective interaction with others in order to produce meaningful outcomes
  • Facilitation skills
