Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting is one of the largest commercial software development companies in the DFW area. Our GoSystem/InSource Development group is seeking a Software Engineer for its Browser development team. This team provides critical components shared across many of our hosted software solutions, serving thousands of concurrent users. Development occurs in classic ASP with VBScript as well as Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL stored procedures providing solutions for a diverse and demanding customer base. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of software development including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and support. We value technical aptitude and a proven record of performance over proficiency with a specific tool set.
Qualifications
4-year college degree in Computer Science or a related field
A minimum of 2 years of industry experience with evidence of rapidly increasing responsibilities
Classic ASP with VBScript
Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL Stored Procedures
C# experience is desired but not required
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Evidence of being innovative and self-motivated
Desire to work in a team environment serving multiple departments
Desire to be involved with the latest commercial software development practices
