Position Description


JOB FUNCTION:
CONTACTS DELINQUENT CUSTOMERS TO ARRANGE FOR IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF PAST DUE AMOUNTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE BANK'S POLICY/PROCEDURES AND APPLICABLE REGULATIONS AND LEGAL STATUTES. PERFORMS ACCOUNT SERVICE FUNCTIONS AS NECESSARY.

REGULAR DUTIES:
· Maintains individual portfolio delinquency levels in compliance with bank standards and regulatory standards for quality and quantity of collection effort.
· Responsible for timely and proper preparation of files for account to be placed in non-accrual status (i.e., file must be properly prepared prior to transfer and forwarded to immediate supervisor for review).
· Responsible for timely and proper identification and referral to supervisor of problem and other designated accounts as encountered in collecting their individual delinquency queues.
· Responsible for timely and proper skip tracing as required in the department collection procedures manual.
· Other related job duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to read and interpret a document.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2 years of consumer collections or mortgage servicing

Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of consumer collection procedures.
- Knowledge of regulations and legal statutes governing consumer credit industry.
- 1 yr of skip tracing experience
- 1 yr of Bankruptcy experience
- 1 yr of Litigation experience
- Real Estate experience
