Description
UnitedHealth Group has submitted a proposal in response to the TriCare Managed Care Support Contract Solicitation (also known as the "T-3 Solicitation"). TriCare is the health care program serving active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, their families, survivors and certain former spouses.
As a potential government contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF85P.

Position Description:
Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports. Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making. May make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. Work will be done for internal operational purposes as well as for customers. The position reports to the Director of Audit and Analytics.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • The Reporting analyst role is inclusive of the following:
    • The retrieval of information in a structured format based on a defined set of business rules
    • A Query of unformatted information based on a set of defined business rules
  • The Reporting analyst will need to support the following report types:
    • Scheduled: A production report that is automatically generated on a predefined timetable. The information contained on these reports represent a snapshot in time and the output needs to be stored for future access
    • Ad hoc: A user produced and generated report or query that is run at any time to obtain needed information
    • Template: A system generated parameter based report in which the user can define parameters and scheduling
  • Supports reports covering the following business subject areas:
    • Claims Operational
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Notifications
    • Referral/Authorization
      Management
    • Actuarial and Underwriting
    • Financials Analytical
    • Provider Reimbursement
    • Provider Contracts
    • Provider Recoveries
    • COB/Subrogation
  • Reviews TRICARE reporting and data requirements and related documents to understand and capture specific operational requirements
  • Analyzes and investigates, and provides explanations and interpretations to others within area of expertise
  • Interviews subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine reporting and data development approach
  • Investigates non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others
  • Reviews other organizational reports and extracts to determine relevant content for use in developing new TRICARE reports
  • Follows report development standards, stylistic guidelines and formatting conventions
  • Inspects and edits own work for clarity and conformance to requirements
  • Participates in individual and group reviews and incorporates changes and improvements to documentation
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
  • Supports ongoing process improvement and change control activities
  • Completes work according to deadlines provided by Reporting Manager
  • Develops business requirement documentation, assists in report and data extract design efforts and conducts quality assurance to ensure compliance and the user needs are met
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, reliability and security of data documentation
  • Employs formalized policies, procedures and governance to address issues of data quality, access, privacy and publication of reports

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience writing detailed business requirements is required
  • 1 year of prior experience with data mapping experience is required
  • 2 years of experience developing technical documentation including system instructions is required
  • 1 year of programming using SAS reporting tools
  • Knowledge of the healthcare claims process is preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word, Outlook, Access) experience is required
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
