Required: Two years of college course work or equivalent. Good interpersonal skills. Appropriate skills required for the position. Experience working with computerized systems.
Salary: Support Staff - Hourly rate $13.56
Employment Period: This is an ON-CALL GRANT-FUNDED position not to exceed 19.5 hours per week with employment dependent upon fund availability and program needs.
Additional Information: This position assists the Assistant Director of Upward bound in providing academic support and college preparatory activities/services for low income, first generation high school students, participating in the Upward Bound program to ensure that goals and objectives of the program are accomplished. Desired: Desired: Completion of two years college work; previous experience delivering educational services geared toward special populations under guidelines of a federal grant; ability to prioritize and manage detailed work, work with individuals from various social, economic, and educational backgrounds, and provide tutorial support for high school students (grades 9-12) in one or more of the following core subjects, such as math, science, and English.
