CHS has an opening for a per diem staff nurse/occupational health nurse to work in an onsite corporate health unit clinic at Dell in Plano, TX. The staff nurse/occupational health nurse will provide vacation coverage, CME’s, sick call for full time staff. The staff nurse will provide onsite first aid assessment and nursing care and provide safety, injury and illness prevention.
Job duties:
Onsite nursing care/first aid of work injuries, office ergonomic evaluations, safety walk-thru's for identification of unsafe work conditions, online injury reporting to the Dell TPA for work-related injuries, nurse case management of work injuries, integral focal point for return to work accommodation cases -- restriction review and coordination of RTW with restrictions. OSHA recordkeeping and knowledge of recordkeeping requirements. Wellness program coordination with the Well at Dell program manager. Regular communication with the Dell Environmental, Health and Safety Manager and with the Benefits Manager. Able to work autonomously, as the CHS Regional Manager sits in Austin, TX.
Qualifications: Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel are required. RN TX state licensure required, BSN-COHN-S preferred, two years occupational nursing experience is preferred. BCLS certification required. Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently required.
Physical requirements: walking approximately 30% of the day. No heavy lifting required.
