Basic Function: MicroStrategy Consultants empower customers to make more informed decisions by providing timely, relevant, and accurate answers to their business questions. To achieve this mission, Consultants work to understand business needs and technical requirements, and design and implement high value solutions in the MicroStrategy platform. MicroStrategy Consultants are an integral part of the world's largest staff of MicroStrategy Certified Engineers and leverage knowledge and best practices across our global team for customer success. MicroStrategy Professional Services' Career Path provides growth opportunities at all levels within the organization. Specialist Consultants leverage their customer experience to mature and apply leadership skills in their application design and development work. They routinely take on coach responsibilities on small to mid-size project teams, leading and mentoring junior colleagues.

Key result areas (include but not limited to):
* Deliver billable high value consulting
* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with senior management of our customers
* Lead customer's strategic BI roadmap development
* Lead scoping engagements from the business perspective
* Develop new opportunities at customer
* Contribute to and develop best practice methodology for BI deployments in retail organizations
* Develop consulting and solution offerings for core processes and functions in retail
Knowledge & experience:
* 5 - 10 years experience in functional departments in food-, general merchandize-, department store-, specialty- or similar retail organizations
* Expert level knowledge of core retail processes
* Proven track record of successful delivery of retail solutions preferably with BI focus
* BI subject matter expertise in at least two areas like category management & merchandizing, supply chain, store operations, customer insight / CRM, e- & m-commerce, financial planning and management
* MBA or advanced degree preferred
