Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking to fill multiple Intern - Analysis Engineering roles for Summer 2022 in its West Palm Beach, FL site.
We are an innovative company delivering solutions that create value for our customers in the aerospace and defense markets. Aerojet Rocketdyne is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader that provides propulsion and energetics to the space, missile defense and strategic systems, tactical systems and armaments areas, in support of domestic and international markets. Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September.
Projects may focus on areas of analysis including Structures & Dynamics (S&D) or Aero-Thermal-Fluids (ATF).
Tasks will vary but may include setup and operation of various finite element based structural analysis simulations to determine the loads, deflections and stresses/strains in propulsion system components or performing thermal or fluid dynamics analysis of liquid rocket propulsion systems and components, all under closer supervision of senior engineering staff.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or similar program) and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
3.2 GPA or above
Junior standing or above; graduate students preferred
Solid academic track record of accomplishment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Leadership & teamwork skills
Coursework in Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Material Science, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Finite Element Methods

These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
