Job/Internship Description

S&C Talent Acquisition aims to attract and source talent from a wide variety of populations and communities as well as identify and cultivate pipelines of talent from academia and university programs. The purpose of this internship is to assist with the administration of Talent Acquisition programs and outreach. This individual will learn the S&C Talent Acquisition mission, community outreach and university programs. The selected intern will work closely with and report to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

The intern will learn and be responsible for the following TA activities:

  • Learn how to build and manage relationships and assist with the execution of community outreach programs.
  • Assist with the internal and external communication, promotion, and outreach of the TA programs.
  • Schedule outreach meetings with high schools, universities, associations.
  • Track professional Association relationships with respect to our Talent Management objectives. IEEE, WIM, SWE, NSBE, and others.
  • Research to identify how to best partner with targeted local community organizations in S&C communities.
  • Assist with the creation of internal communication regarding program process, participation, and deadlines to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of S&C Intern/Co-Op program participants.
  • Organize and assist in the planning and execution of onsite and virtual job fairs.
  • Support S&C Onboarding program facilitation.
  • Additional TA duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies

  • Undergraduates or master's students working towards a degree in a related discipline, (HR, Communications, Community Outreach).
  • Charismatic, people person who is comfortable and enjoys engaging the public at large, open to meeting new people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Interest in learning and building a career at S&C.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills, Power Point, Word, and Excel.
  • Interest and aptitude for public speaking.
  • Ability to pick up new systems and learning new tools.
