We are seeking a Manufacturing Planner summer intern that will excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will seek to 'make it better' by identifying areas of improvement and driving an assigned project to completion.

Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1300 employees and specializes in both low-volume, high mix and high volume production through a combination of automated processes and labor-intensive manufacturing.


What you'll do:

- Work on an assigned project that will be impactful to the function. Past project examples include creation of a forward-looking capacity tool for our stock rooms, development of an offline asset tracking system, and creation of a layout for a new manufacturing space coming online.

- Gain a broad understanding of aerospace manufacturing and production planning principles and concepts in a complex manufacturing environment.

- Analyze data to identify actions and areas of opportunity.

- Work cross-functionally. From day one, you will be working together with a manufacturing support team including engineering, quality, supervision, and program management.

- Build relationships with manufacturing operators, customers, and other key stakeholders to align priorities and team goals.


This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Candidate must be pursuing a 4-year business or supply chain management degree from an accredited college or university.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters program pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Experience or classroom knowledge of production operations management, supply chain management, and/or logistics management

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
