Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the ambulatory clinical pharmacy team activities, training, education and assessment and attainment of productivity metrics. The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator supports leadership activities of the department, coordinates quality/process improvement initiatives, and represents the pharmacy department on multidisciplinary committees. The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator, under the direction of the ambulatory manager and director, ensures competency, compliance and professional development of staff. The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator through the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care and leading the clinical and operational activities of pharmacy staff ensures optimal outcomes for patients. All activities are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations with the health and welfare of the patient paramount.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Pharmacist experience in a health system is required
  • Texas Pharmacist License or eligible
  • BPS Board Certification is required within 1 year of certification eligibility
  • Pharmacist and Pharmacy Preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • CPR - BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment
  • CPR - PALS (critical care areas only) within 30 days of employment
