UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

Responsibilities
Completes physician orders by retrieving orders and completing the necessary steps associated with processing to ensure quality patient outcomes
Assists with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies by replenishing supplies, documenting items to be ordered, and rotating stock to maintain appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy
Maintains appropriate stock levels of approved pharmaceuticals and supplies in patient care areas by monitoring stock on hand to ensure effective administration of medication
Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by management to facilitate operational efficiencies
Assists in the maintenance of orderliness and cleanliness of the department.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Texas Registration through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician, Technician Trainee or Pharmacist Intern
Ability to calculate and compound medication orders
Preferred Job Requirements:
Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider
Knowledge of medical terminology
Previous pharmacy experience
