Shift Hours - Flexible around classes, Day Shift

Rates: 19.79/hr

6 Month Contract opportunity

Supporting fabrication production lines in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory improvements.
* Conducting studies (researching, gathering, comparing, computing, and evaluating data) to determine improvement opportunities in efficiency, quality, costs, and safety.
* Planning and execution of continuous improvement projects to improve plant level goals.
* Supporting the implementation of innovative technologies, processes, and equipment.
* Makes recommendations on methods of operation, workstations, floor layout, and equipment.
* Developing/maintaining systems associated with production processes, layouts, flow, equipment, and communications.
* Collaborating with contractors and suppliers for project implementation.
* Managing the priorities and utilization of resources efficiently.
* Work with colleagues to develop and implement great, new ideas that consist of but not limited to the development of standard work/training guidelines for new teammates.
* Collaborate and work with cross functional teams such as Engineering and Finance to achieve plant goals (quality, manufacturing, materials, design engineering, finance).
* Performing other work as advised by Supervision.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Current enrollment towards a college or technical school degree

Minimum 6 months experience with CAD programs

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Manufacturing/assembly work experience
