JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Power Platform Manager for a 6M C2H opportunity that is located in Dallas, TX 75231 (hybrid onsite / remote | 1-2 days per week onsite | non-Dallas local candidates will be 100% remote with some occasional travel to Dallas, TX, as required). The Power Platform Manager will drive the design and implementation of Digital Transformation Solutions. The Power Platform Manager must have a deep understanding of and current and/or previous hands-on experience with Low-Code Concepts / Patterns to create scalable, robust, and efficient solutions. The Power Platform Manager will partner with cross-functional teams (PMs / Developers / BAs, etc.) to ensure optimal project delivery success. The Power Platform Manager will assist in streamlining processes, increasing operational efficiency, and driving growth utilizing cutting-edge Low-Code Automation and Data-Driven Solutions. The Power Platform Manager must possess strong robust technical capabilities (hands-on) combined with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Lead Discovery / Design Sessions - Obtain Requirements Clarity / Produce Deliverables (Mock-Ups / Flow Diagrams, etc.) / Manage Demand Items Implementation to Meet Customer Needs
  • Create / Manage / Administer Power Platform Solutions / Capabilities - Governance / Administration / Operations Management
  • Guide Power Platform Services Implementation / Adoption of Approved Services and Products
  • Partner with PMs / IT / Business Management on Multiple Development Projects - Identify / Translate Complex Business Requirements into Architectural Design
  • Accountable for the Successful Power Platform Solution Implementation
  • Define Best Practices for All Power Platform Services (PowerApps / PowerAutomate) - Outline Operational Processes / Procedures / Standards / Best Practices | Document Flowcharts / Layouts / Diagrams | Demonstrate the Value of the Solutions
  • Lead Technical Teams to Deliver Results - Task Management / Technical Mentoring / Code Reviews / Issue Resolution, etc.
  • Leverage Dataverse Database / User Common Database Models with Power Platform Services and D365 Native Configuration / Customization Tools (Creating New Security Roles / Assignment of Role-Based Access Controls)
  • Manage / Implement OnPrem Data Gateways used with Power Platform Services - Implement / User / Customize Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
  • Lead Development / Execution of BI Strategy - Aligning Business Goals / Objectives
  • Oversee Data Analysis Activities - Data Mining / Trend Analysis / Predictive Modeling to Extract Actionable Insights / Support Decision-Making
  • Manage Global Team of Power Platform Professionals - Provide Guidance / Mentorship / Fostering a Culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Architect / Design / Develop / Update / Optimize PowerBI Dashboards / Scorecards / PowerBI Reports / Semantic Models Meeting Business Requirements
  • Design / Publish / Maintain PowerBI Data Models with Multiple Interrelated Tables Supporting Visualization / Analysis in Excel Features - Document Solutions / Work with Analysts to Determine User Story Details
  • Responsible for Design Methodology / Product Documentation - Develop Tabular / Multidimensional Models Compatible with Data Warehouse Standards
  • Audit Security Precautions - Ensure Adequate Protection / Supporting the Formal Authorization for Data Access
  • Ability to Act as a SCRUM Master, as needed
  • Industry Standard Best Practices Proficiency - Coding Standards | Coding Modularity / Reuse | Application Design / Prototypes | Coding Analyzer / Profiling Tools
  • Prioritize / Delegate / Foster the Development of High-Performance Teams to Lead / Support an Environment Driven by Customer Service / Teamwork

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Power Platform Manager (3+ years) - Directly Managing Teams of 5-10+ BI Developers / BI Analysts, etc.
  • Power Platform Development / Product / Service Lifecycle (3+ years) - Progressive Hands-On Direct Experience
  • Manage / Customize (hands-on) Database Forms / Fields / Views / Workflows PowerBI Dashboards and Reports
  • ERP System Experience (3+ years) - D365 (strongly preferred)
  • Power Query / PowerBI / PowerApps / SQL Scripting / SQL Server (advanced working knowledge)
  • Project Management Tools - Azure DevOps (strongly preferred)
  • Premium Connectors (ISVs) / Implementation - Create / Configure Custom Connectors for use with PowerApps / PowerAutomate Services | Embedding PowerBI Reports within PowerApps Solutions
  • Custom Visuals / Dynamic Reporting / Best Practices Data Modeling / Row-Level Security - Excel Analysis
  • SharePoint Online / .NET / Power Platform Suite (proficiency) - PowerBI / C# / SQL / Programming Languages
  • SCRUM / Agile Methodology / SCRUM Master
  • PowerBI Administration Functions - Configuration / Data Security / Governance / Installation / Performance / Troubleshooting / Support, etc.

PREFERRED (not required)
  • PL-300 - MS Certified: Data Analyst Associate with PowerBI
  • PL-900 - MS Power Platform Fundamentals Certified
