Dallas College has implemented the Workday ERP system. The Senior Director, Workday Sustainment and Support will play an integral role in leading and supporting the sustainment of Workday. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with key personnel across Dallas College functional areas to drive the successful delivery of technical Workday projects and initiatives, create an integrated solution that supports efficiency, and provide a high level of support to faculty, staff, and students. The ideal candidate will bring a "system" view with expertise working with end users and technical team members to facilitate the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes within Workday. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage across every level, both inside and outside the college, in support of the College's contributions to the vibrancy, growth, and economic stability of Dallas County, for today and future generations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Delivers solution in Workday across all modules through efficient and organized process.
Collaborates with business and technical partners to develop priorities and project roadmap.
Facilitate the translation of business requirements to technical solutions.
Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to maintain transparency, consistency in delivery, and set expectations.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Workday functionality in a timely manner with little to no oversight.
Experience with providing strategic leadership and direction.
Continually research, test, and keep abreast of Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities.
Acts as primary point of contact for questions regarding functionality from a business and technical perspective.
Ability to operate from the tactical to strategic levels.
Lead and facilitate the quarterly testing and college release cycles for Workday's bi-annual release process.
Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement of business process and technology.
Experience working in Agile, Lean environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies.
Comfortable with a faster than average pace and frequently changing environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, plus 3+ years of work experience in Workday.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role.
Official transcripts will be required.
Certification as a Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), Workday, or formal software development training are highly desired.
Work hours may extend beyond the regular, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p m. workday, including weekends and holidays to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis.

Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in leading and supporting the sustainment of Workday
Experience working with both the technical team (BPA's, Analyst, Report Writers, and Security) and the functional areas (HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and Student (including Financial Aid).
The ability to provide strategic leadership and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
Experience working with Workday releases.

Participates in planning activities, development, and evaluation of technology solutions, working with cross-functional partners to drive innovation.
Provides technical support for product design, testing, and implementation activities.
Consults with business and technical teams to steer the design and implementation of high-quality solutions across all phases of all applicable projects.
Articulate technology strategies and solutions that support the vision and mission of the College and align resources toward the successful achievement of goals.
Ability to resolve problems, analyze and apply laws, regulations, theories and methodology; research, analyze, apply, and articulate results identifying opportunities.
Ensure collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practices among partners and colleagues to embed a robust technological ecosystem.
Build and maintain documentation for Workday related implementation including 3rd party integrations with Workday.

Create an environment that values, enables, and encourages innovative solutions to improve existing products and services and to develop and implement new tools and products.
Maintain a culture that is collegial.
Completed required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
