Job Description Overview

The Facilities Supervisor will lead the maintenance functions for the Sarnova distribution network. This role is responsible for managing the execution of standardized maintenance functions across multiple facilities, and environmental compliance programs. Improve maintenance performance by developing and leveraging the use of our computerized maintenance management system driving the preventive maintenance and work order process.

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor will lead the maintenance functions for the distribution network. This role is responsible for managing the execution of standardized maintenance functions across multiple facilities, and environmental compliance programs. Improve maintenance performance by developing and leveraging the use of our computerized maintenance management system driving the preventive maintenance and work order process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of all standardized maintenance functions across multiple distribution centers and manufacturing network.
  • Create, implement and review preventative maintenance program for distribution centers and manufacturing facilities, including spare parts management.
  • Responsible for developing distribution and manufacturing M&R budgets in partnership with the local OP's/GM managers Ensure approved budgets are maintained.
  • Handling risk, including escalation, prioritization, communication and resolution of issues.
  • Oversee CAPEX projects provides annual budgetary information for both capital and expense projects.
  • Perform emergency repairs in the network of distribution centers.
  • Conduct semi-annual audits of all maintenance functions providing feedback to DC leadership.
  • Represents Sarnova to third-party supply chain solutions providers, including but not limited to system integrators, software, and technology vendors, consultants, and material handling equipment providers.
  • Manages and negotiates contracts with third-party vendors.
  • Records and reports third party emergency services costs.
  • Monitor web-based warehouse controls systems in all facilities to help operations diagnose failures.
  • Up to 70% travel required to support national distribution network.
  • Visit network sites at least once a quarter, plus emergency repair trips.
  • Completes Maintenance Request Forms and maintenance records accurately and timely.
  • Performs pro-active inspections of property and identifies and corrects findings.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory at all locations and responsible for the reordering process for the network.
  • Assembles all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete work assigned.
  • Performs all work with a minimum of disruption and supervision and conducts immediate cleanup of work area.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Technical degree or certification specialized in technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years material handling equipment maintenance experience
  • MDR (Dematic a plus), print and apply machines, in-motion scales (Mettler Toledo a plus), general printer troubleshooting (document inserter).
  • Must be able to wire low voltage MDR cards, as well as change out 480v Motors and power supplies.
  • Conveyor experience required. Solar experience a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Experience with use and development of layouts/Project Planning tools.
  • Forklift certification and experience, preferred.
  • Broad mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Experience within the medical device, medical supply, or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • A highly organized and effective project manager, able to plan, drive and ensure successful execution of major, complex supply chain projects.
