Overview

Join ENERCON as a Senior Electrical Engineer where you'll coordinate with diverse teams, review designs, and drive technical excellence. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on an innovative team to lead and design power systems at power-generating facilities.

Responsibilities

Our Energy Group is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Tampa, FL, Lake Mary, FL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Kennesaw GA, Chattanooga TN, or FT Worth TX locations.

    Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
  • Prepare design studies and project scopes
  • Make recommendations based on knowledge and experience
  • Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projects
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
  • Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems
  • Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and Minimum 7 years of power system design experience
  • SKM and/or ETAP experience
  • Protection and controls experience
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Willing to travel (up to 20%) and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up
  • Including:
    • The ability to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites
    • The ability to traverse client sites to conduct walkdowns
    • The ability to work outside at client sites in all weather conditions
  • Experience with lighting studies, lightning protection, and grounding design preferred
