Material Handler II

Responsible for performing labelling, shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations. Material includes raw material and components for commercial production. The position requires working both at the Fort Worth production site and at the company's contracted warehouse. The position also requires working in a controlled non-classified environment. The position will prepare and maintain documentation for transactions performed in an ERP system. All duties performed will be as outlined in cGMP regulations and standard operating procedures

What will you be doing?

  • Material receipt, inventory control and production support:
  • Receipt of incoming materials acquired via purchase orders. Confirms material received matches the P.O and processes the receipt transactions.
  • Initiates documentation per SOP for receipt of cGMP materials and performs receiving inspection for some components and moves or directs materials to Quarantine.
  • Assist with sampling raw materials.
  • Coordinates material movement, sampling and labelling of raw materials and components with Quality Assurance.
  • Issues and transports raw materials and components for batch manufacturing.
  • Establishes and manages storeroom inventory levels for manufacturing consumable supplies and shipping supplies.
  • Performs the physical tasks involved in receiving, shipping, and storing of raw materials, finished products, in process used materials and other equipment.
  • Coordinates material and product transfer requirements directly with manufacturing personnel.
  • Performs inventory transactions on the ERP system. Responsible for supporting complete and accurate inventory transaction documentation and files.
  • Maintains required segregation, security, labelling and storage conditions for all inventory materials.
  • Performs routine cycle counts, evaluates variance reports, investigates discrepancies and recommends corrective actions.
  • Maintains clean, organized and safe warehouse and dispensing areas.
  • Operates material handling equipment for the movement and storage of materials.
  • Shipping and distribution operations.
  • Responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation as per company SOP associated with manufacturing production and Supply Chain duties.
  • Satisfactorily completes all cGMP, GCP, GLP and/or safety training as applicable to job requirements.
  • Performs additional duties to meet company objectives as directed by the company leadership.
  • Generates bills of lading and declarations of hazardous materials.
  • Prepares temperature sensitive filled product for shipment to commercial partners as well as contract manufacturers per SOP's.
  • Weigh, dispensing and kitting operations.
  • Performs weigh, dispense and kitting operations by weighing required quantity for each material according to the Master Batch Records.
  • Maintain proper levels of supplies and equipment in the weigh and dispense area.
  • Routinely perform these functions in an aseptic and controlled dispensing area.
  • Utilizing scales and fume hoods.
  • Ensure the proper cleaning and sterilization of material and components used during weigh and dispense duties.
  • Labels dispensed materials and transfers to appropriate storage area.
  • Formulate and stock the proper levels of gowning material for the Off-site warehouse Cleanroom.
  • Clean off-site warehouse clean room prior and after use.

What will you need to be successful?

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 3+ yrs. experience in a supply chain, (multi-site distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations).
  • Must come from a regulated industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical / life-science manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory management, manufacturing, and/or supply chain
  • Familiarity using ERP systems, Excel, and Word

Licenses/ Certifications: Valid Driver's License

Travel Requirements: < 50% to offsite warehouse
