Our Great Opportunity
We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to execute end-to-end product and process quality leadership in Ericsson's US 5G Smart Factory! This state-of-the-art factory produces 5G and Sophisticated Antenna System radios to boost network capacity and coverage to meet the demand for rapid 5G deployments in North America! This role will set up and maintain overall quality assurance and control processes, methods and tools, look after the quality issues/tasks, improve product & process performance, control the risks and guarantee the factory output with the performance are aligned with quality standards.

You will:
* Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
* Monitor and control the performance of processes. Apply statistical techniques (and) statistical process control (SPC), verify process capability and implement statistical sampling inspection as appropriate.
* Lead quality meeting with cross-function team; identify yields trends and drive improvement opportunities for cost variances.
* Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for process and supplier related scrap reductions to improve quality
* Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
* Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Supplier Management Program to ensure cost efficiency.
* Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier related problems as they occur.
* Provides criteria and overall plans for Incoming inspection plan, First Article Inspections, RoHS verification plan and MRB material /scrap /RTS management.
* Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure the best manufacturing practices and quality standards are met.
* Evaluate supplier's internal functions to assess their overall performance as part of sophisticated product quality planning (APQP) for NPI launch and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.


You will have:
* Hands-on experience in die casting components/commodities in high volume manufacturing plant.
* Experience on electronic products assembly and product level testing.
* Familiar with supplier auditing techniques and quality systems requirements.
* Supplier quality control experience.
* Familiar with basic inspection and measurement tools such as CMM, optical measuring devices, etc.
* Experience with supplier manufacturing process and critical steps.
* Experience in using quality engineering techniques, including experience writing procedures and developing standards for new processes.
* Familiar with current quality methodology, such as Six Sigma, FMEA, statistics analysis, sampling, DOE, capability studies.
* Experience with interpreting schematic, mechanical drawing, component data sheet, and released documentations.
* Must be familiar with common Quality Standards and industry IPC, JEDEC, & ISO standards.

This role reports to the Quality Engineering Manager
