Process Transformation Governance Lead
The Vice President, Process Transformation (PT) Governance Lead will be part of a team of process improvement experts with accountability for delivering on a broad range of projects, varying in risk, size, and complexity, while aligning to business strategies. The PT Governance Lead provides leadership and direction to develop skills and organizational capabilities to achieve business results as well as educates and creates awareness of Process Improvement / Transformation methodologies within a specific line of business (LOB) / Support Function. The PT Governance Lead will be the main point of contact for all process-related work as per their assigned LOB/Support Function. The role will require a deep knowledge of process improvement methodologies and a strong ability to manage relationships in a matrix environment.

The PT Governance Lead will be focused on supporting the LOB's/Support Functions on their process improvement opportunities, establishing a focused partnership between those LOB's/Support Functions and the PT team and ensuring PT-related guidelines/standards are communicated/ understood by LOB's/Support Functions. Additionally, the PT Governance Lead may be asked to lead/co-lead process design or other related sessions to support strategic projects that LOB's / Support Functions have identified. A key part of this roles will be to quickly establish a rapport with LOB/Support Function leaders to help them understand how a process-centric approach can help them achieve their goals/objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Process Improvement Opportunities Support:
  • Reinforce established guidelines/protocols for relationship management and support between PT Team and LOB's/ Support Functions.
  • Manage pipeline of improvement opportunities for a specific LOB/Support Function.
  • Prepare ongoing Executive communications documents to share progress and findings with Comerica stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with assigned LOB/Support Function to introduce/reinforce process standards / guidelines.
  • Establish direct line of communication/support for LOB/Support Function leadership teams.
Establish Focused Partnership:
  • Lead overall understanding of the assigned LOB/Support Function needs and how the PT Team could pro-actively support those needs.
  • Lead effort to create solutions that will maximize matrix environment to enhance efficiencies across the assigned LOB/Support Function.
  • Pro-actively work with the assigned LOB/Support Function leadership team to provide feasible process improvement opportunities based on their needs/challenges.
  • Lead/co-lead design or process discovery sessions in order to better understand their needs and how our team can support them.
Process Transformation Support:
  • Support knowledge exchange of PT Team's capabilities for assigned LOB/Support Team.
  • Ensure concise and clear communication of the assigned LOB/Support Function needs are passed on to PT Admin/Strategy team.
  • Ensure that the assigned LOB/Support Function needs align with both PT Team and enterprise strategy.
Execution and Monitoring:
  • Pro-actively work with the assigned LOB/Support Function on overall deployment of process-related changes.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to optimize the solution and achieve a high adoption rate.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university in Business, Finance, or other related degree, OR High School/ GED with 12 years of progressively responsible experience
  • 6 years of experience with enterprise level business process management solutions (e.g. Pega, Bizagi, Appian, iGrafx, etc.) with the proven ability to assess situations, align and understand company goals and adept at translating strategy into execution
  • 6 years of experience in process improvement methodologies and translating those methodologies into practical solutions. Strong focus on managing relationship with senior internal stakeholders
  • 6 years of experience with demonstrated end-to-end enterprise level business process management implementation alongside of enabling systems implementation. Including discovering, mining, documenting, modeling, analyzing, improving, and measuring optimized business processes
  • 6 years of experience with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple requests and obligations to facilitate a smooth, organized workflow, while achieving committed results on time
  • 6 years of experience with excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with senior internal/external stakeholders and to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages
  • 6 years of experience with proven ability to create and communicate strategies at all levels of the organization. Highly effective at building, nurturing, and leveraging relationships.
  • 2 years of experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations and the regulatory environment (preferred)
