Job SummaryThis position will manage and lead expansion efforts for Simmon's Cancer Center's Nicotine Cessation program, Speaker's Bureau, and Cancer Answer Line. Additionally, this position will directly supervise a team of 3-5 community-facing program specialists responsible for delivering cancer education and/or tobacco treatment. Simmons Nicotine Cessation program helps patients stop smoking and vaping through behavioral interventions and pharmacotherapy. The Speaker's Bureau and Cancer Answer Line address health disparities by connecting community members with critical knowledge on cancer control using best practices for health literacy. In addition to managing public education programs, this role will proactively engage in community outreach and deliver prevention education to address modifiable cancer risks such as young adult nicotine use and physical activity. Working Conditions
This role requires periodic evening and/or weekend hours to meet community needs. This role requires bending, standing, and lifting materials for community events and education. Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related travel greater than 20 miles roundtrip.
