Responsibilities:
- L1/L2 Front Office Trading Support
- Application Resiliency and Reporting
- Application Monitoring
- Job scheduling
- Incident Management, Problem Management, and Issue Tracking
- Change Control and Release Management
- Capacity Planning
- BCP Planning
- Permit to Release
- Service Level Management
- Liaison with Infrastructure Teams
- Look across entire production environment to aid continuous improvement with the state and supportability of production systems
- Build and maintain relationships with business users and other information technology stakeholders
- Handle high priority issues, production recoveries, provide support to Dev Infrastructure Releases
- Ability to Support users on complex technical issues, data issues, problems related to supported applications
- Execute trouble shooting commands to identify slow programmatic bottlenecks and processing
Requirements:
- Exposure to Back and Front Office Operations in investment banking environment
- Prior experience in the Financial Industry, specifically supporting a trading desk
- Prior experience with incident management in a support function role
- Understanding of Service Level Agreements and Management
- Demonstrated inter-office communications
- Experience in Job scheduling tools like Autosys
- Working knowledge and Experience in monitoring tools like ITRS Geneous, Splunk
- Prior working knowledge of developing/writing/debugging: Java, Perl, Python, Linux/Unix shell and SQL
- Familiar with Tibco/FIX Messaging systems
- Knowledge of how to build projects from GIT
- Experienced with Jenkins, Bit Bucket Artifactory
- Debug and update Python/Perl code for ad hoc tasks
- Create new Java, Perl, Python applications for ad hoc tasks
- Practiced LeanIT / Agile software development life cycles, JIRA Kanban boards
- Relational database - Microsoft SQL server database knowledge, Object Oriented databases
- Maintain terabytes databases
- Identify performance issue and provide solution for dba
- Create and execute SQL script to purge bad data or load missing prices
- UNIX / Linux OS, knowledge of scripting languages - Perl and python
- Analyze logs using common UNIX syntax and identify data exceptions, Splunk regex index searches, Elasticsearch
- Understand Distributed Networks/Routers/Firewalls
- Understand wide IP and FDNS and set up new settings with client network team
