Job Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked #14 in the United States, the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas for Cardiology and Heart Surgery by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an outstanding noninvasive ABIM-Board eligible/certified cardiologist. Candidate will be superior in all aspects of noninvasive Cardiology, and capable of teaching Cardiology fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students through didactic lectures and participation in various multidisciplinary conferences. Recent cardiology fellowship graduates are welcome to apply. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule. Applicants should meet these qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship program
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas
  • Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

  • William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility designed for patient comfort and well-being where complex tertiary and quaternary care is provided which incorporates advanced technology to enhance multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas County's exemplary urban public hospital which provides outstanding diagnosis and treatment for virtually every type of condition or disease

  • A diverse array of specialized services in cardiovascular disease are available to support a general cardiologist's practice including an interventional program that does complex PCI and structural heart interventions; electrophysiology program (ablations, devices); advanced heart failure/MCS/cardiac transplantation; and programs in preventive cardiology, ACHD, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardio-oncology, hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, sports medicine, cardiac sarcoid, and women's heart health, amongst others.
