Overview
 

Huitt-Zollars' Dallas Architectural Engineering Company is looking for a Project Accountant to join our team. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong organizational and customer service skills, and a keen sense for detail. This position is a great opportunity for someone pursuing a career in Accounting.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
  • Contract Management and review
  • Finalize client invoices monthly including supporting documentation
  • Communicate project accounting issues effectively and courteously
  • Provide Status of billing for various reports
  • Research and respond to client inquiries
  • Ensure all billing transactions are completed and accurately recorded
  • Project Setup in Company MIS systems, maintain accurate records
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills; must prioritize tasks and meet very specific deadlines
  • Strong people skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel and Adobe
  • Experience with Deltek Vision a plus
  • Proven ability to complete detailed assignments accurately
  • Exhibits professional written and oral communication skills
  • A motivated self-starter, ambitious, dependable, and reliable
  • Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
