Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to be a Project Manager on our Transportation team in our Richardson, TX location. The ideal candidate will have Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) development experience in the consulting industry and/or experience working for TxDOT directly. The successful candidate should have experience coordinating with clients and leading delivery of transportation design (PS&E) projects. Civil Engineer Project Manager (P.E.) - Transportation PS&E Responsibilities:
  • Works under a Team Leader in the development of roadway design and PS&E
  • Manages transportation projects or tasks in support of business needs
  • Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff
  • Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
  • Reports on project progress
  • Collaborates with clients and other consultants
  • Assists with project pursuits and business development activities
Civil Engineer Project Manager (P.E.) - Transportation PS&E Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation project delivery
  • TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is a must.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, preferably in Texas
  • Experience managing transportation PS&E projects and plan production
  • ORD experience
  • Ability to manage a project, and supervise technical staff
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.
