Enterprise Risk Manager Governance Officer II
This position will support the maintenance and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework with a focus on associated risk governance, risk metrics tracking and risk training. The position will evaluate corporate governance documents for alignment and consistency across frameworks and policies. The position will also collaborate with other lines of business to manage and coordinate the documentation of various risk related policies and other reporting that are in line with Comerica's Enterprise Risk Management Framework goals and objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
Maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework
  • Maintain regular updates to the ERM Framework to 1) ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standards; 2) defines common expectations across all risk pillars; and 3) summarizes risk assessment processes by risk pillar.
  • Identify opportunities for improved alignment with the ERM Framework within first and second lines of defense and make recommendations to ECRR management.
  • Maintain change control processes for Enterprise Hierarchies and make recommendations to changes for Hierarchies and risk rating criteria (Taxonomy, Business Unit, Process, Product, Risk & Control Library, etc.).
Reporting and coordination of Enterprise Risk Metrics
  • Review, analysis, and consolidation of reporting on Enterprise Level KRIs/limits.
  • Support maintenance and review of Strategic Limits file; Coordinate quarterly risk reporting to Executive management and related Committees.
  • Support development, maintenance and coordination of dashboard and other presentation reporting for ERRC and ERC.
Enterprise Risk Governance & Documentation
  • Support Charter and Policy governance reviews and challenge of corporate governance documents across lines of business.
  • Make recommendations to ECRR management on proposed updates or alignment across policies and charters.
  • Manage various Enterprise Risk Assessment processes including Project Risk Governance, SR Letter Reviews, Emerging Risk Governance reporting and analysis, etc.
  • Make recommendations for ad hoc reporting as necessary to support Enterprise Risk Governance processes for various Committee and Board updates as directed by SVP, ERRC.
Enterprise Risk Training
  • Support updates to ERM training and awareness on risk topics for both Enterprise and Risk Liaison consumption.
  • Help to develop new ERM training as directed by SVP, ERRC.
Other Ad Hoc Projects and Support
  • Provide input, feedback and challenge to various Risk Assessment Owners teams as requested for alignment with ERM Framework.
  • Other Ad hoc reporting and projects as necessary.

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Preferred to be in finance, accounting, or related business management field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in performing high level risk assessment, particularly as it applies to the financial services industry
