We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paralegal, assisting with corporate, legal, and regulatory compliance functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in legal entity formation and their subsequent organization and operation, as well as various legal and compliance matters. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and collaborating with colleagues across departments and global offices.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Legal Support (in coordination with internal staff and external service providers):
    • Assist in the legal entity formation process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies and procedures.
    • Draft and review legal documents related to entity formation.
    • Prepare and make necessary filings for legal entities.
    • Support to the General Counsel/CCO in various legal matters, including legal research and document preparation.
    • Collaborate with Investor Relations to screen and maintain legal records for investors, including side letter agreements.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain and organize corporate and compliance-related documentation and records.
    • Prepare and maintain minutes from Investment Committee and other standing meetings.
    • Assist in preparing reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
    • Maintain Code of Ethics reporting.
  • Compliance Reporting:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of compliance audits and monitor and track corrective actions resulting from audits.
    • Prepare regular compliance reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and all global offices.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination on legal and compliance matters across departments and global offices.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a paralegal role (preferred, not required).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Process-oriented mindset.
  • Private fund experience a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:

  • The job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time and using a computer approximately 90% for this position's duties.
  • Minimal travel related to occasional conferences or regional office visits.
  • Potential Hybrid work schedule.
