General Summary

The Systems Administrator supports, manages, and ensures the secure operating capability of system level software. This includes Active Directory, Basic SQL, Windows and Linux servers; Security Systems including patch deployment, vulnerability monitoring, Data Loss Prevention monitoring, and audit log management programs. This role ensures services are available and secure for all hours of operation. Individuals must maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware, software, and security principles in use to maximize the efficiency of the resources and users' utilization of them.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Act as a Project manager regarding system setup and maintenance operation and design. Also interfaces with other departments to facilitate timely completion of these tasks.
  • Perform basic DBA activities in support of Infrastructure, MIS, and SCM systems. This includes backup and restore operations.
  • Add and maintain users' application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards. Also, to assist in providing solutions to problems reported by users.
  • Understanding and support of industry security policies are required. Requirements can include creating, implementing, and documenting \ reporting to these policies.
  • Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures that assist system availability. Participate in team meetings, providing input \ suggestions, and prepare minutes of discussion items.
  • Support of the Warehouse Printing operations is required. Knowledge of printer configurations and Bartender software technologies is preferred.
  • Provide direction to Vendors or Contractors.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned as demand requires.
  • Manage and maintain Backup operations for both Database and Virtual infrastructures.
  • General knowledge of network monitoring and the ability to support reporting on key systems (network, DB, other) using industry-standard tools (PRTG and other).
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a Client/Server environment.
  • DBA experience, Oracle certification, or MSSQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
  • Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • IT Security/Cybersecurity certifications a plus.
  • Five+ years of experience supporting, implementing, and/or administering enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and 3rd party auditors.
  • Experience in end-user support for Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
