JOB OVERVIEW: To attend to the daily functions of the hospitality dining area and to provide information and assistance to all hotel guests as requested. To ensure that the daily food and beverage service for the hospitality area is maintained and served to Crescent and/or brand standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure hotels (multiple properties in same area) stay stocked and provide exceptional guest service.
  2. Meet and greet guests as they arrive and offer choice of seating in the dining area.
  3. Assist guests with their food and beverage needs while in the dining area.
  4. Maintain proper set-up of dining area and ensure Crescent/Brand standards are followed at all times.
  5. Preparation of food according to Crescent/brand standards and ensuring proper temperatures of hot and cold items according to health code regulations.
  6. Replenish food and service supplies and utensils in the dining area.
  7. Clean and sanitize all equipment in the kitchen & dining areas.
  8. Clean out all refrigerators and reach-ins daily; label, date and rotate all food items.
  9. Sweep and mop floors in kitchen floors and vacuum dining area.
  10. Ensure all food orders are put up and stored in proper places with proper dating.

  1. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

  1. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests.

In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
