Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Controller to join our operations team in Massena, NY.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function at Massena Operations.
  • Implementing and maintaining all internal control policies and procedures as directed by Arconic Corporate.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the Massena Operations financial statements through the monthly Financial Closing in accordance with Arconic Corporate requirements.
  • Executing overall responsibility for Annual Operating Plan.
  • Providing monthly financial forecasting for Massena Operations and analysis of results.
  • Providing financial analysis and support to the Plant Manager of Massena Operations and the BU Controller as requested.
  • Working Capital management.
  • Attracting, retaining, & developing financial talent.
  • Processing ad hoc requests.
  • Reporting support for the BU.

  • Serve as a member of the Massena Operations' Lead Team and act as a business partner to the team as they develop and implement business strategy.
  • Act as a catalyst for change and help drive business performance improvement.
  • Manage planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with ASAT and other internal audit requirements, as well as US GAAP and Arconic reporting requirements.
  • Understands, reviews, and communicates key drivers for location success.
  • Drive financial engagement to operations.
  • Create and monitor internal controls that allow operations to meet the financial plan.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Arconic code of conduct and corporate policy.
  • Manage location performance pay plan.
  • Lead initiatives to close gaps from current performance to benchmark level.
  • Develop strong internal cost control systems to ensure that plans are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit requirements.
  • Develop systems to ensure maximum profit generation from all areas of the business.
  • Create an environment where problems are solved to the root cause.
  • Create an environment where systems are used to accurately plan and deliver according to expectations.
  • Continuously drive for process improvements.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned and or requested.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $125,000 - $145,000

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
  • Some experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel.
  • Experience with an ERP-System.
  • Technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork.
  • Hands-on mindset and high analytical skills.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years' experience in a Plant Controller role in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA/CMA certification.
  • Strong technical background, with demonstrated managerial skills and the ability to motivate people.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess a high degree of people skills as he/she must motivate and influence others including those not under his/her direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of conventional aluminum processing.
  • Thorough understanding of Metal Accounting & hedging, as well as profit and loss experience/expertise.
