Summary:

As a Financial Analyst, you will execute financial functions with applying your expertise in finance and accounting. You will leverage independent judgment and maintain utmost confidentiality, contributing to the financial integrity and performance of the company.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and manage comprehensive financial reporting tools, including scorecards and analyses, for key financial areas such as Capital Expenditures, Plant Expenses, Warranty Reserves, and Inventory.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, providing insightful interpretations of financial results against forecasts and the annual operating plan; proactively address and rectify any financial inconsistencies.
  • Lead the Capital Approval Request process, ensuring efficient capital allocation and investment.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Review process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate in the month-end close process, including performing detailed accounting and inventory reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of rolling forecasts and the annual operating plan.
  • Ensure financial statement integrity, maintaining accurate formats that align with the General Ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly journal and accrual entries, facilitating accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate and enhance accounting procedures, processes, and systems to elevate departmental performance and output quality.
  • Assist in physical inventory verification, ensuring accurate inventory records and financial reporting.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive financial records and information. Advocate and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across financial functions.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary to support the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, with a preference for exposure to manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational prowess.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with effective prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and financial management systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities, comfortable engaging with various levels within the organization.
  • Commitment to regular, full-time attendance within a hybrid working model, primarily based in Owatonna.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and promote a positive, safety-focused company culture.
