Job Description
The Vice President of Product Marketing will lead product marketing efforts and be responsible for all aspects of the function: go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging, product launches, and sales collateral. This senior leadership role will be a primary driver in the commercial success of the OpenGov Cloud.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and maintain the product market fit for OpenGov's various solutions, identify pain points, and understand the ideal customer profile and buyer personas
  • Collaborate with the product team on our vision, delivering customer and market insights in order to drive roadmap prioritization
  • Ongoing ownership of pricing, packaging, and key messages to maintain the success of current products, and launch new products in the market
  • Manage a team of results-drive product marketing managers, including effective prioritization, coaching, and accountability
  • Collaborate across marketing to develop and execute programs to impact sales to new and existing customers, including content creation for product launches, demand generation programs, website content, product videos, webinars, case studies, blog posts, and more
  • Maintain a firm grasp of the competitive landscape and identify areas of competitive differentiation to help us maintain our leadership position
  • Partner with the enablement team to train field sales, customer success, and partner teams on messaging, key differentiation, and how to convey the value of the Smart Government Cloud
Requirements and Preferred Experience
  • 10+ years experience in product marketing for B2B enterprise software companies
  • Strong people leader with a proven track record building and developing teams
  • Master story-teller able to distill complex technology into compelling messaging, positioning, and differentiation.
  • Experience working closely with sales on enablement initiatives.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to see where the market is headed before it gets there
  • Ability to drive alignment within marketing, across functions, and with senior leadership
  • Strong communication skills and ability to "own the room."
  • Project management skills to relentlessly drive initiatives and programs to completion
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand new markets, solutions, and other information quickly
