The Inbound Replenishment Planner (IRP) is responsible for managing the flow of purchased material into the Operation in a timely and cost effective manner. This includes order review and approval using the appropriate procedures and tools. Use technology to identify and resolve or escalate exceptions within the processes that involve rejected material, vendor lead time discrepancy, alternative stocking locations (when appropriate) or stockouts. IRP will be expected to communicate professionally and proactively at all times.

We provide training in safe lifting techniques for objects up to 25 pounds, with additional support and equipment available for heavier lifting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process proposals promptly
  • Perform daily review of system recommended actions provided by ERP, Inventory management, BPCS and WMS to ensure inventory levels for assigned parts will meet forecast customer demand. Make decisions to release, firm, cancel or defer parts based on current inventory and demand. Identify and escalate exceptions promptly
  • Expediting orders when required to meet customer expectations
  • Review changes in item status for opportunity to cancel/modify open PO's to favorably affect inventory
  • Communicate updates to Customer Service team so that accurate purchase order information for promise dates on sales orders is maintained when orders are not programmatically updated
  • Monitor PO/DO/RO confirmation by suppliers and triage any issues related thereto.
  • Identify and reposition inventory strategically to improve lead time and inventory turn
  • Communicate priorities to suppliers
  • Identify and escalate opportunities to adjust supplier practices to improve cost/service levels for Epiroc
  • Maintain open and effective communications with all personnel regarding supply problems (e.g. PO/DO/RO proposals, stock levels, safety stock issues, faulty BOM, etc);and their resolutions and escalate when appropriate
  • Assist with disposition of rejected material in a timely manner
  • Follow process to streamline engineering change requests
  • Facilitate/Escalate and assist with problem resolution with Accounts Payable related to purchase orders/receiving.
  • Support Supply Chain goals in materials handling cost and inventory holding cost reduction efforts

Requirement:

  • High School diploma or GED required. A BS or BA degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management is desirable but not necessary. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in a supply chain role relevant to the position will be considered.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Computer Skills Required - MS Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel). Experience working with ERP/WMS is desired.
  • Experience in planning and/or purchasing of components as well as equivalent work is meritorious.
