Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our organization's network infrastructure. You will wear many hats, from building and configuring networks to troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring everything runs efficiently.

  • Establishes and maintains network performance.

  • Builds net configurations and connections.

  • Troubleshoots network problems.

  • IP address auditing.

  • Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.

  • Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.

  • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.

  • Configures router.

  • Updates data servers and network equipment.

  • Collaborates with network architects on network optimization.

  • Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Technical Expertise: The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in general infrastructure, covering a broad spectrum of supporting technologies and networking.

  • Network and Cloud Troubleshooting: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to both network infrastructure and cloud-based systems, demonstrating a strong troubleshooting skill set.

  • Azure Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including deployment, management, and optimization of resources within the Azure environment.

  • Network Configuration and Maintenance: Knowledge and expertise in designing, configuring, and maintaining both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), encompassing the setup of servers, routers, switches, access points, and circuit configurations.

  • Network Firewalls: Senior level skills in working with Palo Alto firewalls, configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Collaboration with 3rd Party Providers and Solution Partners: Experience in collaborating with external network providers and solution partners to implement and manage infrastructure solutions effectively.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Familiarity with cloud backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, along with practical experience in managing cloud servers and virtual environments.

  • Active Directory and Domain Services: Working knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and domain services, including user management, group policies, and domain configurations.

  • Remote Management Tools: Proficiency in using remote management tools for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and systems.

  • VoIP Knowledge: Basic understanding and experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies, covering both hosted and on-premise VoIP environments.

  • Web Hosting and Domain Management: Fundamental knowledge of web hosting services and domain management practices.

  • Service Ticket Management: Diligent attention to infrastructure service ticket queues, ensuring timely response, resolution, and thorough documentation of incidents and resolutions.

  • Major Incident Management (MIM): Ability to lead Major Incident Management (MIM) processes as required, driving incidents to resolution while minimizing impact on operations.

Working Environment

Standard Work Schedule: Monday through Friday in office during regular business hours.

Flexibility for After-Hours Support: The candidate should be willing to provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary to ensure the smooth operation of infrastructure systems. This includes being on call for emergencies or critical incidents.
