Overview
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in Philosophy. This is an academic-year, nine-month appointment for the 2024-2025 academic year in the Department Communication Studies and Philosophy at Utah State University with an initial start date of August 1, 2024. The position is renewable for up to three years.


Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of Philosophy courses, including Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, and other courses that fit our program's curriculum.
  • Expected teaching load of 3-3.
  • Serve on various departmental committees as needed.
  • Advise and mentor students.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Philosophy (prior to August 2024).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach a variety of Philosophy courses.
  • Offer contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to contribute to the life of the department.
  • Ability to teach courses that fit our program's curriculum.
