HR Generalist, Gentherm Medical
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Join Gentherm Medical's dynamic HR team as an Entry-Level HR Generalist! We're on the lookout for a motivated individual to contribute their expertise to our Medical Team. In this role, you'll be pivotal in supporting our tight-knit plant of 100 employees by spearheading various HR initiatives and programs, such as recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, engagement, and training. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this position is located in Cincinnati, OH, offering flexible work arrangements with occasional onsite presence to bolster our manufacturing operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with hiring managers on recruiting needs to update and/or create job descriptions, source resumes, pre-screen candidates and coordinate interviews.
  • Leads day to day hourly recruiting needs for manufacturing and warehouse. Works with staffing agency to fill a range of hourly production roles.
  • Acts as Onboarding Lead to provide best-in-class candidate experience; Responsible for executing onboarding process from background through employee's first day.
  • Works with managers on a variety of employee relations issues such as performance, time & attendance, disciplinary and safety issues.
  • Works with Plant Manager and HR Manager to coordinate and plan HSE initiatives.
  • Prepares, reviews and analyzes a variety of people data, information, and reports, and works with HR Manager to make recommendations depending on business needs.
  • Supports site wide communication and takes the lead on planning employee-related events and programs with HR Coordinator.
  • Maintains AAP/EEO information for the site and supports annual AAP reporting.
  • Represents the division on Corporate DE & I Council.
  • Works closely with HR Manager to support the overall business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, and processes.
  • Assists in developing and executing new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization and to improve employee experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in HR.
  • Experience with recruiting for professional and hourly production roles.
  • Experience with workplace safety process and procedures.
  • Experience addressing a range of employee relations issues.
  • Ability to create and sustain relationships throughout the organization enabling productive partnerships.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities by urgency and key deliverable dates.
  • Demonstrates a "can-do" mindset and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive information and consistently demonstrate high integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate in both written and oral forms with all levels of the organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with employee training.
  • Supporting organizational communication activities (Company intranet, digital signage, corporate newsletter, etc)
  • Working knowledge of HRIS Databases, SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (specifically excel)
