What you will do:

We would like you to design, code, test, and maintain sales configuration, pricing, and manufacturing rules for the configure-to-order product ERP system.

How you will do it:

  • Collect information from various sources regarding material requirements. Determine requirements for manufacturing production reports. Translate requirements into computer programs to produce required reports and material demands.
  • Performs rule development, testing, and validation for sales, pricing, and manufacturing using expressions, local and global variables, option lists, matrices, and configuration codes.
  • Performs database and matrix maintenance in the ERP system. Responsible for accurately updating values in the system.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain code.
  • Documents programs written. Documentation should include flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and revisions.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to coach new employees.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual usually must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
  • Engineering or Manufacturing shop floor experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Able to interface verbally with engineers, shop floor staff, managers, and customers.
  • Strong analytic skills, ability to troubleshoot, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills are required. Required knowledge/experience with MS/Word, strong MS/Excel, MS/Outlook, and database software such as MS/Access or SQL. Basic knowledge of ERP systems and data entry skills. Computer programming in Java, C, C++, .NET, Fortran, Pascal, etc.
